Terms of Service - IQReader

1. Welcome

IQReader ("we," "us," "our") is a platform for readers, artists, and thinkers to discover books, track their reading, and connect with one another. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

IQReader is currently in beta. Features may change, and we appreciate your patience as we build and improve.

2. Your Account

You need a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us at support@iqreader.com.

You must be at least 13 years old to use IQReader.

3. What You Can Do

Search for and discover books
Organize books into shelves
Write reviews and rate books
Follow other readers and see their activity
Track your daily reading streak
Share your thoughts via Thought Provoker questions
Set a favorite book on your profile
Invite friends to join

4. Your Content

You own the reviews, comments, answers, and other content you create on IQReader. By posting content, you grant us a license to display it on the platform and, where applicable, on the public web (for example, showing your review on a book page, your activity in the feed, or your public profile). You can delete your content at any time.

Please be respectful. Content that is abusive, hateful, or spam may be removed, and accounts that violate community standards may be deactivated.

5. Book Data

Book information (titles, authors, covers, descriptions) is sourced from third-party book databases. We cache this data to improve performance. We do not claim ownership of any book metadata or cover images.

6. Account Deactivation

We may deactivate accounts that violate these terms. If your account is deactivated, you will be notified by email. If you believe this was done in error, contact us at support@iqreader.com.

7. Closing Your Account

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@iqreader.com. When your account is closed, your profile, shelves, reviews, and activity will be removed from the platform.

8. Availability and Disclaimers

IQReader is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, especially during beta.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IQReader and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of IQReader shall be resolved in the courts of California.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as IQReader evolves. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
